I missed you.
This month of October has been a whirlwind. Good and bad. Victories and challenges. All of it, all at once.
Yesterday, as I was flying home, I was still buzzing from the V2 Orlando Summit, where 170 women were on their feet, playing full out, creating together. And at the same time, my heart was racing for a completely different reason. I was rushing home to my beautiful furry baby, Toti. He's 13, and he needed emergency surgery.
Somewhere over the clouds, I caught myself thinking: how can so much happen in only one month?
Let me rewind.
Three weeks ago, I got COVID. I felt like poop. Truly. And somewhere between the tea and the tissues, I was preparing my presentation for the V2 Summit, because of course I was.
Once I recovered, I flew to Arizona to be part of the very first AI Inner Circle Mastermind with Dean Graziosi. I reconnected with old friends. I met new people doing incredible things. I came home with my head full of ideas and my heart full of people.
And when I say I came home, I mean I landed at 2 am on Saturday, with a very sleepy Leo waiting in the car just outside LAX.
By 5 am on Sunday, I was leaving again.
All I wanted was to stay in bed and cuddle with my hubby and Toti. Instead, I zipped up my suitcase and headed to Orlando.
And then, V2. Oh my God.
I was surrounded by incredible speakers, and then suddenly, there I was. On that stage. I looked around and saw 170 women staring back at me, and I had one of those moments where time slows down and you think, how did I get here?
Not long ago, I was the woman who postponed herself. Who put her own dreams at the very end of the list, after everyone and everything else.
And there I was, in Orlando, sharing that moment with 170 women who said yes to the experience and gave it everything they had.
They leaned in. They laughed. They let go. Every one of them was fully inside the experience I had designed to wake them up, to pull them out of their heads and back into their bodies, and to remind them what it feels like to be alive.
I watched it happen, one face at a time. And I'll never forget it.
Here's what October taught me.
Life doesn't wait for the perfect month. The joy and the hard stuff arrive together, in the same suitcase. COVID and a standing ovation. A stage and an emergency vet visit. Old friends and brand new ones.
When life gives you opportunities, you take them.
Are they pleasant? You enjoy them, and you add them to your happy moments memory bank.
Are they unpleasant, challenging, even painful? You learn from them. You find that extra gear inside you, the one that only shows up when things get tough.
We don't waste anything. Because life is worth living fully.
Feeling alive doesn't mean everything goes right. It means you show up for all of it.
If you're new here, welcome. I'm so glad you found your way to this circle. This is what we do here. We stop waiting for life to calm down before we let ourselves live it.
So I want to ask you something.
What happened in your October that you haven't stopped long enough to notice?
With so much love,
P.S. Toti is doing well! He came home with antibiotics, hot compresses, and one thing he's not happy about: he has to be a cone-head until his body heals. He's giving me the most offended little looks. I'm told it builds character.
